Welcome From the Principal

Welcome to Miwok Middle School, Home of the Mighty Oaks!  Miwok Middle School is known as the “Pride of the City”.  Our school has a rich and diverse history that provides a unique and unforgettable educational experience for all students. We are proud that MMS is a destination school for students from all over the greater Sacramento area.  We strive to maintain a culturally inclusive environment where differences are valued and honored, and where all students feel that they are safe and welcome.

7th Grade Parents: Click for more details
The end of the year festivities will be here before we know it! The 7th grade picnic is a fun tradition held at McKinley Park on the last day of school, Thursday, June 12th. Parent volunteers are needed to make this a successful and safe event.

Don’t Lose Access to Instructional Materials for Your Student!!
You must opt your student in before June 12, 2025. Click here for more details and the flyer. It takes just a couple of minutes to opt-in!

Google requires parent/guardian consent for students to access Google Workspace for Education Additional Services. These include:

  • YouTube
  • Google Maps
  • Google Earth
  • Google Translate
  • Google CS First

These tools are separate from the core services already available to students—such as Gmail, Docs, Drive, and Classroom—and will not be accessible to students in the 2025–2026 school year without parent/guardian approval.

8th Grade Promotion: June 12
The ceremony begins at 9:30 a.m. Seating for family & friends opens at 8:30. (Space is extremely limited; NO MORE than 4 guests per student.) All 8th graders should report to their 4th period class at the start of school.

8th grade promotion is at Miwok. Seating will not open until 8:30 am, the ceremony starts at 9:30 am and should end by approximately 11:30. There will be no saving seats. Please limit the amount of guests to no more than 4 per student as space is extremely limited.

If you bring balloons or flowers that day for your student, they will need to be stored in room 109 until after the ceremony. We know that families may want to take their children to celebrate after the ceremony, which you are welcome to do.
