Good afternoon, Mighty Oak families! 

PTSO SacYard Event: Tomorrow, Saturday, April 20th between 1:00-4:00 pm join us at Sac Yard Community Tap House to celebrate Miwok Middle School! At this family friendly event, there will be food and drinks available for purchase, an awesome silent auction as well as student created items for purchase from our photography and woodshop classes. Click here for more information. 8th Grade Hearing/Vision Screening: 8th grade students will have a hearing and vision screening during their Science classes April 22-24. If your child has glasses, please have them bring it to the screening.

Multicultural Festival Info Meeting: Are you interested in sharing parts of your culture with your Mighty Oak Community? Come to Room 111 at lunch on April 23rd to learn more about how you can participate and share your culture during our Multicultural Festival.

CAASPP: CAASPP testing starts on Friday, April 26th with English Language Arts. Headphones are needed for the English portion of the test or for those with special accommodations, these cannot be wireless. We will provide headphones for those who don’t have them. Testing is from April 26- May 15. Click here for our CAASPP calendar, we will be following a block schedule on some days to accommodate testing. As a friendly reminder, all students must have a working district issued Chromebook in order to access CAASPP testing. If your child has a Chromebook that isn’t working, please make sure they notify the office as soon as possible (outside of class time). Below are the parent notification letters: English, Spanish, Russian, Chinese

School Site Council: There is a School Site Council meeting on Wednesday, April 24th at 2:45. Link to agenda.

Field Trip Opportunity: There is a National Parks field trip opportunity open to all that our Science teacher, Ms. Freer, is offering. If interested, click here. Mandatory meeting for interested parties on 4/23 in room 312 from 6-6:30 pm. 

End of the Year Participation Requirements: Participation in end of the year activities is a privilege earned in recognition and celebration of student achievement. Students must meet these requirements in order to participate. Here is a link to the requirements for participation in end of the year festivities.

  • 6/13 Last day of school/minimum day/8th grade promotion celebration @ 9:30 am/7th grade picnic at McKinley Park (please note: 8th graders can have NO MORE than 4 guests at promotion, it is VERY crowded)
