In order for students to be successful, it is important to attend school every day unless they are ill.  Research indicates that successful students attend school regularly.

All absences and tardies must be verified by the parent/guardian by calling the attendance office at 395-5371 anytime day or night, e-mailing tracy-feickert@scusd.edu or bringing in a note including the absence date(s), reason for absence and a parent/guardian signature. After an absence, it is the returning student’s responsibility to obtain and complete the make-up work.

Our attendance team makes daily phone calls home regarding attendance, however, it is recommended that the parent/guardian be proactive in initiating communication to verify attendance. Letters will be sent home if an attendance problem is identified per Education Code 48260.  Continued absences will lead to further action.
