Miwok Middle School (formerly Sutter Middle School) continues to be among the highest achieving middle schools in Northern California.  The staff at Miwok Middle is committed to nurturing and developing the intellectual, physical, emotional and moral capacities of each child.

Our goal is to create an academic environment where every classroom is focused on learning so that every student has an equal chance of success here, in high school, in college and in their career.  Students will be able to critically think, problem solve, work collaboratively, and be proficient writers, all skills necessary in the 21st Century.

Located in East Sacramento bordering McKinley Park, Miwok Middle has a reputation for academic achievement, a safe, clean learning environment, and a faculty of outstanding teachers. Trained to meet the specific needs of young adolescents, our teachers go above and beyond to send our students to high school with the best preparation.

Students will be exposed to a rigorous curriculum that is both challenging and exciting. Students attending Miwok Middle need to be ready to learn and are expected to fulfill the requirements of their courses in order to leave middle school well prepared.
